Ku-Taroo, my pangare black brumby stallion, with Nulgerong, his chocolate silver dapple Moon Filly. Nulgerong is the lead mare of his herd and dam of the pangare black colt Tintauwa, whose picture is also in my gallery. these two are customs of mine, though again the details dont show as well as i'd like.
thank you!! XD that particular term for that colour (a real colour most common in rocky mountain ponies and icelandics) was actually coined by Elyne Mitchell, who wrote the Silver Brumby books. Moon Filly was one of the best books, and describes the colour in a really magical way that has never left my mind, so i now have three Moon Fillies of slightly different shades, lol. and thats just /this/ generation. ive painted at least 20 over the years. youd think id have gotten over them by now. but theyre meant to be adorable, lol - thats the point. theyre meant to be 'mares of such magnetic beauty that no stallion ever forgot them' - and a different shade is described as 'living light'. i met a real one in the Snowy Mts where the brumby stories were set and they are just as lovely in 'person'! ^_^
ack, sorry, rambling. dont get me started on brumbies... >

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
This news article features five deviants who took part in Comment Month through commenting on the deviations that were submitted.
Please give your time to this article and to write constructive comments so that you make a true difference to the artists featured here. Although not all may be underappreciated, their efforts deserve to be recognised and celebrated.
